His material from the mid 90\u2019s on was overlooked. There are quite a few gems that should have translated into greater success on the charts starting with 1994\u2019s <strong><em>The Funky Headhunter<\/em><\/strong> and the 1996 unreleased Death Row album <strong><em>Too Tight<\/em><\/strong>. Hammer had stepped it up flow wise and the production became tighter. During this time Hammer worked with some notable producers.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>TMZ \u2013 MC Hammer performing Pumps and a Bump<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/chIUJvswHqc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1994\u2019s The Funky Headhunter showed Hammer shifting to a leaner sound with street influence. On this project he worked with Tha Dogg Pound on \u201cSleepin\u2019 on a Master Plan\u201d. The other notable producer with the album was Teddy Riley. He assisted with the keyboard work on the biggest hit on the album \u201cPumps and a Bump\u201d. Teddy Riley would take the lead in producing the tracks \u201cOaktown\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Stop\u201d. Not only did it have features of elite West Coast artist but the production was top notch as well.\u00a0 One of the main contributors was Johnny J who did extensive work on Tupac\u2019s 1996 album<strong><em> All Eyez on Me<\/em><\/strong>. The tracks Johnny J produced that Hammer appeared on were the title track to his album <strong><em>Too Tight<\/em><\/strong> as well as \u201cUnconditional Love\u201d and \u201cToo Late Playa\u201d featuring 2Pac and Big Daddy Kane. Top of the line producers brought the best out of him. He should not be solely defined by the <strong><em>Please Hammer Don\u2019t Hurt \u2018Em<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>Too Legit to Quit<\/em><\/strong> era.
