Through the lyrics and his cadence Meek captured the emotion and spirit of the timeless classic. Phil Collins is an artist that has been fully embraced by the hip hop community. That is why it is so charged up, full with emotion. Over the years there have been other artists who have sampled the song. Most famously by 2Pac on the track \u201cStarin\u2019 Through My Rear View\u201d from the 1997 soundtrack <strong><em>Gang Related<\/em><\/strong> featuring the Outlawz. Their version was from the Phil Collins tribute album, <strong><em>Urban Renewal<\/em><\/strong> released in 2001. From <strong><em>\u2026But Seriously<\/em><\/strong> there was also the song \u201cAgainst All Odds\u201d which was sampled by Cuban Link on the 2008 track \u201cTake a Look at Me Now\u201d. Not only did the group sample the song \u201cHome\u201d but they also had Phil Collins himself sing the hook. The track was a single from their 2002 album <em><strong>Thug World Order<\/strong><\/em>. The original titled \u201cTake Me Home\u201d was from Phil Collins biggest selling solo album to date, 1985\u2019s <strong><em>No Jacket Required<\/em><\/strong>. From that same album was \u201cLong Long Way to Go\u201d which Cam\u2019Ron drew from for \u201cGist and Penz\u201d. The song appeared on Cam\u2019ron\u2019s 2007 mixtape <strong><em>Public Enemy #1<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bone Thugs-N-Harmony \u2013 Home feat. When it has been done properly, giving the music the respect it deserves the results are powerful and moving. Over the years quite a few of hip hop artists who not necessarily have covered or sampled his music cite him as a source of inspiration.
