His music is timeless and his legacy will continue to live on through those he inspired performance wise and musically.\u00a0 In hip hop his music has been sampled numerous times, producing classics in their own right.\u00a0 I wanted to revisit some of these tracks that will always remain unforgettable.<\/p>\n<p>The first track is Mc Lyte\u2019s \u201cPoor Georgie\u201d form her 1991 album <strong><em>Act Like You Know<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 On the chorus it samples Michael Jackson\u2019s \u201cI Wanna Be Where You Are\u201d off his 1972 album <strong><em>Got To Be There<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 \u201cPoor Georgie\u201d topped the rap singles charts while \u201cI Wanna Be Where You Are\u201d was a top 20 hit at the time.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Mc Lyte &#8211;\u00a0 Poor Georgie<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9r5MzLsaVWc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Michael Jackson \u2013 I Wanna Be Where You Are<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0GLaODfMqn4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next track to visit is \u201cOur Dreams\u201d off of the 2010 collaboration album <strong><em>Wu-Massacre<\/em><\/strong> that consisted of Wu-Tang Clan members Method Man, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon.\u00a0 The song served as the lead single for the critically acclaimed album.\u00a0 Right from the beginning it is sampling Michael Jackson\u2019s \u201cWe\u2019re Almost There\u201d from his 1975 album <strong><em>Forever, Michael<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 The song was a top ten r&amp;b hit for him.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Method Man \u2013 Our Dreams feat. Ghostface Killah &amp; Raekwon<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aRQCY_0j2c0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Michael Jackson \u2013 We\u2019re Almost There<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6muBt6E6-iE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Third track to mention is De La Soul\u2019s \u201cBreakadawn\u201d from the 1993 album <strong><em>Buhloone Mindstate<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 The intro samples Michael Jackson\u2019s album cut \u201cI Can\u2019t Help It\u201d from 1979\u2019s <strong><em>Off The Wall<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 \u201cBreakadawn\u201d chart wise was De La Soul\u2019s second biggest hit of their career.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>De La Soul &#8211;\u00a0Breakadawn<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/erSyYTA5-U8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Michael Jackson \u2013 I Can\u2019t Help It<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QnhWML43NI8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The fourth track is LL Cool J\u2019s \u201cHey Lover\u201d. It was the lead single from his 1995 album <strong><em>Mr Smith<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 It is considered to be one of his hugest hits of his career and earned a Grammy.\u00a0 The song sampled the album cut \u201cThe Lady In My Life\u201d from Michael Jackson\u2019s most famous album <strong><em>Thriller<\/em><\/strong>, released in 1982.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>LL Cool J \u2013 Hey Lover feat. Boys II Men<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Um99r6sgspY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Michael Jackson \u2013 The Lady In My Life<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Cc_KSe6FUoU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Last track to discuss is Nas\u2019s \u201cIt Ain\u2019t Hard To Tell\u201d off of 1994\u2019s <strong><em>Illmatic<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Right from the first verse you can hear the sample of Michael Jackson\u2019s \u201cHuman Nature\u201d which was off Thriller as well.\u00a0 This song is considered to be one of the best songs released in the 90s across all genres period.\u00a0 For Michael it was a top ten smash when it was initially released.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Nas \u2013 It Ain\u2019t Hard To Tell<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3hOZaTGnHU4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Michael Jackson \u2013 Human Nature<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7Y3dsAY_a_I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>These are just a few examples of impactful hip hop songs that brilliantly sampled Michael Jackson\u2019s music.
