At the 16:30 mark of the interview Nas reveals a new album is on the way that was already in the works prior to <strong><em>Nasir<\/em><\/strong>. He mentions that the project consisted of tracks produced by Swizz Beatz and Rza from the Wu-Tang Clan. Earlier this summer Swizz Beatz mentioned that he had produced a complete album\u2019s worth of material with Nas. (<a href=\"https:\/\/hiphopnewsjournal.com\/nas-and-swizz-beatz-unreleased-completed-project\/\">https:\/\/hiphopnewsjournal.com\/nas-and-swizz-beatz-unreleased-completed-project\/<\/a>) More than likely some of that material should appear on the upcoming album. This will mark the first time working with Rza in almost twenty years.\u00a0 Nas during his illustrious career has appeared alongside Method Man, Inspectah Deck, and Ghostface Killah. However, he has worked together with Raekwon the most over the years.<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Xf6-9rrVLuI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first time Nas appeared on a with a Wu-Tang member was \u201cEye for an Eye\u201d off Mobb Deep\u2019s 1995 album <strong><em>The Infamous<\/em><\/strong>. Along with Nas on the track was Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon. Later that year Nas would appear on Raewon\u2019s track \u201cVerbal Intercourse\u201d from the <strong><em>Only Built for Cuban Linx\u2026 <\/em><\/strong>album.\u00a0 The track also included Ghostface Killah and produced by Rza. Raekwon revealed that he had been vibing to Nas\u2019s \u201cOne Love\u201d off <strong><em>Illmatic<\/em><\/strong> and knew he would be perfect for the track.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Mobb Deep \u2013 Eye for an Eye (remix) feat. Nas that same year would reunite with Raekwon on the track \u201cJohn Blaze\u201d from Fat Joe\u2019s <strong><em>Don Cartagena<\/em><\/strong> album. Along with Fat Joe, Jadakiss and Big Pun would make an appearance.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Nas \u2013 Grand Finale feat. Raekwon\u2019s 2006 project, <strong><em>The Vatican Mixtape Vol.2 The DaVinci Code<\/em><\/strong> on \u201cBrothers Keeper\u201d would mark the next time he linked up with Nas.\u00a0 Then one last time on Raekwon\u2019s \u201cRich &amp; Black\u201d which appeared on his 2010 album, <strong><em>Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Wu-Tang Clan \u2013 Let My feat. Nas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1WFTDSx_-uk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>With Nas announcing another album being released soon it will mark the first time since 1999 where two projects were released the same calendar year by him.\u00a0 Those projects where <strong><em>I Am\u2026<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>Nastradamus<\/em><\/strong>. Nas is in a great position with this album.\u00a0 With <strong><em>Nasir <\/em><\/strong>he fulfilled his contract with Def Jam. If he chooses so he can facilitate the project completely through his own label Mass Appeal Records. Having Swizz Beatz and Rza behind the boards should insure a high-quality album production wise. With Nas a Wu-Tang affiliate it will be interesting to see which members will be featured on the album.
