It has been over two years since Beanie Sigel has been heard on a track. The song “The Real Is Back” was off of Dave East’s Kairi Chanel project. Recently Beanie has been conducting interviews and making appearances with fellow members of State Property, including Freeway. All signs are pointing to Beanie aka “Mack” is ready to put out new material. At one point there was talk of a full-fledged collaborative album between Beanie Sigel and Brad Jordan, better known as the legendary southern rapper Scarface. The album was to be titled Mac and Brad.

When the announcement was made in 2012 there was a huge buzz. The two artists had worked together numerous times and had great chemistry. Both are lyricists with a powerful and emotional delivery wrapped in authenticity. Beanie and Scarface would first appear together on the track Mac & Brad” from Beanie’s debut album The Truth which came out in 2000. Later that year the two would pair up again on Jay-Z’s The Dynasty: Roc La Familia album on the song “This Can’t Be Life” produced by Kanye West.

The following year Scarface popped up on “Mom Praying” produced by Just Blaze for Beanie’s The Reason project. Beanie would return the favor along with Jay-Z and were featured on “Guess Who’s Back” produced by Kanye West for Scarface’s 2002 album The Fix. Later that year the trio came together for the Just Blaze produce “Some How Some Way” off of Jay-Z’s The Blueprint2: The Gift & the Curse album.

Beanie would then collaborate with Scarface on “Never Snitch” along with The Game on Scarface’s 2005 album My Homies Part 2. The last time the two artists appeared together was on Rain (Bridge) from Beanie’s 2007 album The Solution. With Beanie coming back out with new material hopefully new Mac and Brad tracks are in the works.
